MyIDE Driver for SpartaDOS X
The MyIDE driver for SpartaDOS X provides the fastest hard disk I/O available on Atari 8-bit computers. To accompany the driver, I have also written a powerful and flexible hard disk partitioning applicaion (FDISK) which employs a slick drop-down menu interface.
The latest edition of the MyIDE suite uses the APT (Atari Partition Table) design and is totally compatible with SIDE, using the same partitioning software and partition mounting utility. Both SIDE and MyIDE drivers will also be fully compatible with IDE Plus 2.0 once the latter adopts the APT scheme.
The SDX MyIDE driver package offers:
- DOS read speeds of up to 70KB/s
- Write speeds of up to 65KB/s
- Dual drive (master/slave) operation
- Compact Flash media support for 512 byte sectors
